Brigasca Ewe Straddling Lamb
Colin's Creatures Porcelain sheep figurines, Brigasca Ewe Straddling Lamb

These happy dairy sheep feature a long-wooled brown mohair fur that I dye myself, and a face that gradiates from white at the nose into a brown head and ears. The carving and face detail on the Brigasca I've created are superb, and this is a favorite sheep of folks who collect dairy breeds or like brown sheep.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from the Steiff company in Germany.

Breed Description

The Brigasca is a dairy breed from the northwest region of Italy which is known for its three varieties of cheese: Sora, Toma and Brus. The cheese is very special because the sheep are raised using the ancient tradition of grazing in the high mountain meadows (where some of the cheese is made) and then returned to the valley in the autumn.
RETIRED SADLY THE FUR IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME
