Cotswold Ewe Nursing Lamb
Colin's Creatures Life Like Sheep figurines, Cotswold Ewe Nursing Lamb

There is something special about a nursing baby even as they grow and have to work harder to get beneath mama to nurse. The head and legs are porcelain on the ewe and the lamb is all porcelain. The ewe is covered with woven mohair and the lamb's fur is wool.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from the Steiff company in Germany.

Breed Description

The Cotswold is raised in the south midlands region of England and predates the Romans. It derives its name from the fact that is was originaly housed in shelters known as "cots" and was pastured in wild, treeless hill areas called "wolds". While it is a somewhat rare breed, it is one of my most popular offerings.
