Colin's Creatures Primitive Sheep Decor, Irish Galway Sheep Lying

This reclining Galway sheep looks straight at you, while his legs and feet are hidden, tucked cozily underneath his large body. The curly soft creamy fur is a joy to hold.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

Breed Description
The Galway was developed in western Ireland from imported English Longwools in the late 17th century. They are a large polled white-faced sheep, having a characteristic bob of wool on the head and wool on the legs. The pink ears of the Galway sheep give it a more delicate look than many other breeds.
