Breed Description
 
The breed was first established on the Swedish island of Gotland by the Vikings. Karakul and Romanov sheep were brought back from expeditions deep into Russia and then crossed with the native landrace sheep, resulting in Gotland sheep.The Gotland is found throughout Sweden and is raised for its pelt and meat. The breed is primarily gray - to acheive that look, I hand dyed the fur, so expect some variation from sheep to sheep.
