The ewe's fur is mohair and the lamb's fur is wool. All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany. $115.00 Size: 5 1/2" Tall Qty: Breed Description The Lincoln Longwool (also known as simply the Lincoln) is an old English breed known for its beautiful fur. The fur lends such character to the carving, making it one of my favorite breeds. The Lincoln is the largest British sheep, developed specifically to produce the heaviest, longest and most lustrous fleece of any breed in the world. Great numbers were exported to many countries to improve the size and wool quality of their native breeds. The versatile fleece is in great demand for spinning, weaving and many other crafts. It is now one of Britain's rarer breeds, categorized as "at risk" by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust since there are fewer than 1500 registered breeding females in the United Kingdom. --info via Wikipedia Related Items Cotswold Ewe with Large White Lamb and Black Lamb Cotswold Lying Ewe with Lamb Pillow Lincoln Longwool Ewe Protecting Lamb Suffolk Ewe Nose to Nose with Lamb $159.00 $105.00 $115.00 $110.00 Cotswold Lying Ewe with Twins on Her Back Norsk Kvit Sau Lying Ewe with Lamb Cotswold Ewe Nursing Twins Cotswold Ewe Nose to Nose with Lamb with Attitude $129.00 $99.00 $149.00 $115.00 Share your knowledge of this product.
