Colin's Creatures Handmade Porcelain Sheep Figurines, Merino Family

This trio Merino family have a softer look in their faces than many of my other sheep. Their coloring is flesh and their flat nose and droppy ears add to their adorable look. The ram has horns that curl upwards and outwards, and his lamb looks up at him with admiration.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

Breed Description
The American Heritage breeds are those sheep that were brought to North America by the early settlers and have become a unique breed unto themselves in over time. The Merino is a Spanish breed brought to the United States by the early Spanish settlers and is prized by farmers for the quality of its wool. Around the world, the Merino has been crossed with other breeds to obtain particular traits.
