Colin's Creatures Handmade Christmas Sheep, Romney Flock

The Romney sheep features tan wool fur that is thick and coiled. Their white faces have detail in the carving and hand painted faces. They are a lovely neutral that matches nicely with almost any decor.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

Size: 5 1/2" Tall

Breed Description
The Romney, formerly called the Romney Marsh sheep but generally referred to by the local farmers as the Kent, is a breed of sheep originating in England. The Romney is a "long-wool" breed recognized in England by 1800. Exported to other continents, the Romney is an economically-important sheep breed, especially to the sheep-meat and wool export trades of New Zealand. The Romney now accounts for more than half of the sheep in New Zealand.--info via Wikipedia
