The Saanen goat has white short-haired fur, long white legs, and perky ears and tail. Because of their slender elongated proportions, they have an inquisitive air that is often found in goats.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

The Saanen comes from the Saanen Valley in Switzerland and is the largest of the dairy breeds. It also produces the most milk but it is relatively low in fat content. It is a very docile animal and good with their kids (and yours). I haven't decided whether or not to paint the mouth and nose and would appreciate your feedback.
