Breed Description
 
The Southdown was developed in the UK and brought to the US beginning in 1824. Like the other "Downs" breeds, the Southdown is very stocky, but it is also quite small, so it can be easily kept in relatively small areas. They are known in the US as the "Babydoll" Southdown because they are so cute. Personally I think they look like a teddy bear."
