Colin's Creatures Handmade Porcelain Lambs, Galway Black and White Ying and Yang Lamb Twins

When visiting Norway to study a flock of Galways, I saw a pair of sheep in this exact position and carved a pair in their likeness. After I saw how happy those sweet sheep made folks, I was inspired to carve a lamb version. These little guys are 1 1/2" tall and 3" long.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

Breed Description

The Galway was developed in western Ireland from imported English Longwools in the late 17th century. They are a large polled white-faced sheep, having a characteristic bob of wool on the head and wool on the legs. The pink ears of the Galway sheep give it a more delicate look than many other breeds.
