Oxford Sheep Family

The Oxford is a very charming sheep featuring curly tan fur and black faces, ears and legs. The contrast between body and fur makes this a very popular offering from Colin's Creatures. There are several unique positions in the Oxford flock to choose from.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

Breed Description

The Oxford comes from Oxford country in England and came about through cross breeding Cotswold with Hampshire sheep in the 1830s and 1840s. It was exported to the US in the 1840. It is a very large breed.
