Boer goats commonly have white bodies and distinctive brown heads. Like the Nubian goat, they possess long, pendulous ears. Here you can see three positions of the adult Boer goat, and three positions of the kids.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

The Boer is a meat goat developed in South Africa in the early 1900s. It likes hot dry regions, so it is at home here in the United States in Texas. Their name is derived from the Dutch word "boer", meaning farmer. They are noted for being docile, fast-growing, and having high fertility rates.-- info from Wikipedia
