These personable German sheep feature tan fur and a gradiated face that is lighter at the nose and gets darker around the head. The details on the carving and painting on this sheep are truly memorable. Due to a change in suppliers, the porcelain will be slightly lighter in color than shown. I will rephotograph as soon as possible.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

The Braune Bergschaf is from the alpine regions of Bavaria (Germany), Tyrol (Austria), Southern Tyrol (Italy)
The breed spends the cooler months on the farm and the warmer months high in the alpine meadows and return to the farm in September or October for shearing. Retired the fur is no longer available.
