The American Bison is the symbol of the American Plains. The bison was the first non-sheep creature that I made more than twenty years ago and although it was very popular, it was retired when the fur was discontinued by the manufacturer. In the last twenty years my carving has evolved greatly as has my ability to color fur and porcelain and I'm so pleased to apply those skills to my new bison. I also used to make a larger bison of about 8" in height and 10lbs. It there is interest, I may be able to bring them out of retirement.
