Most of the licking with sheep is done by the mother to her lamb but occasionally you will see the lambs tending to each other.

The Welsh Mountain is a beautiful breed which populate the mountainsides in Wales. To get photos for carving, I visited a farm with over 700 ewes during lambing - what a remarkable sight! For identification purposes they notch the sheep's ear, sometimes to the point there is very little left. Ht 2 1/2"
