Cotswold Are You My Mother?

Colin's Creatures Handmade porcelain sheep figurines, Cotswold Ewe Kissing Lamb

Alternative Views:

The littlest babies and how they interact with their "big" mommies is such an endearing image. This ewe and lamb are sharing a tender moment.

The head and legs are porcelain on the ewe and the lamb is all porcelain. The ewe is covered with woven mohair and the lamb's fur is wool.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from the Steiff company in Germany.

Breed Description

The Cotswold is raised in the south midlands region of England and predates the Romans. It derives its name from the fact that is was originally housed in shelters known as "cots" and was pastured in wild, treeless hill areas called "wolds". While it is a somewhat rare breed, it is one of my most popular offerings. I love how little lambs think of their mothers as a jungle gym and baaing always puts a smile on my face so when I saw a photo of these two, The lamb is securely attached to her mom. I knew that I had to make it.
