I Can't Hear You - Galway Ewe

Colin's Creatures Handmade sheep figurines, Galway Ewe with Lamb Pillow

The name of this pair comes from the fact that big ears often get in the way and this lambs ear is flopped up against her mother's head.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

Breed Description

The Galway was developed in western Ireland from imported English Longwools in the late 17th century. They are a large polled white-faced sheep, having a characteristic bob of wool on the head and wool on the legs. The pink ears of the Galway sheep give it a more delicate look than many other breeds.
