Kempen Heath Elf Family

Usually I make every effort to make my creatures as life-like as possible, but now and again I have a silly moment and creatures like these elf sheep come to life. The legs, head and hat are porcelain and the spirit of the holidays is embodied in the red and green elfen booties and Santa hat. I hope you enjoy them, as they certainly put a smile on my face. This set of 3 elf sheep make the perfect Christmas gift!

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

The holidays are a cherished time at Colin's Creatures, and I delight in making sheep and other creatures that can embody the festive spirit of the season. The Kempen Heath is a Dutch breed used to maintain the wild grassy areas. The hats are all permanently attached to the head. This is also available with twins, just ask.
