I just love this Galway lying with her lamb as a pillow as she rests peacefully with a content smile upon her face. Her recling lamb gazes tenderly up at her. It is very touching.

All my creatures are handcrafted in my Asheville, NC studio using porcelain, castable stone and imported woven fur from Steiff-Schulte in Germany.

This mother and lamb are part of a collection of six mothers and babies called “My Mother is the Best” and the lamb tells why in a statement in the photograph. They’re intended to be whimsical and touching at the same time. I hope you like them. The carving uses my original Galway carving, which has slightly smaller ears.
